***** mention of suicide******

I read on Facebook that a girl killed herself. I don't know the girl but she is from America. I read she was a high school girl. Poor soul. She had her life ahead of her. She was sexually abused and was part of prostuition. She tweeted about 144 times in about 6 hours and killed herself. I just feel anger. I don't know why. She killed herself to make a point. I wish people could hang on and not quit this world so easily. Life is beautiful. I feel angry. I don't know why. I don't like reading stories of people killing themselves. It doesn't trigger me but upsets and angers me. I may sound harsh but I can't help it. Her name was Ashley. R.I.P Ashley. You're not in pain anymore

(((happycheeks))) - I understand how this is very upsetting. The one good thing is, this made you think about how important it is, to be patient when things aren't going well or when a persons in crisis. They might think their pain is intolerable, but its not permanent. It also made me very sad to hear of the American teenage boy who was gay and being bullied - he did the same thing.

I really think schools should have a mental health area. My 13 yr old daughter approached the guidance counselor on Friday - she said the students need a place to discuss their problems - such as abusive relationships, SI and eating disorders etc. My theory is young people need someone to talk to so they don't feel alone and desperate. Make sure you remember the wise words you said here, when things aren't going well.

I agree and understand everything you say. There needs to be more support for people because they are growing up and they may not know how to deal with negative emotions or suicidal thoughts. I'm sorry about the boy who did the same thing. Emotional pain isn't forever. People have to ride out the negative emotions and be patient. Like you said. Your daughter is right. But there are people such as friends who people can talk too. People need someone there for them. I will read this post again if I need to remind myself.
