I guess it's normal to see bits of our parents in ourselves, and agree that it's disturbing to see the things that are not so helpful. I see my grandmother in the some ways I speak, think and do things and feel the same. She was abused as a child and had a lot of trouble with her moods, as well as a negative slant on life.

The severe ups and downs must be very hard. How long do they usually last for?

Keep warm, hugs
