I know I don't post here often. Wish i did. anyways, i think i may have a problem with anger. i don't usually get angry, but when i do i either hit or destroy things. my own things really. like today. i been getting irritated a lot lately, especially at things that i could normally tolerate. at school, i could handle it but now it seems to be simmering below the surface and i am afraid that it would erupt. could this be a form of an anger problem?

It does sound like you are having some trouble with managing your anger.

Do you have a history of repressing your emotions (stuffing them inside of you)? Or is this anger issue completely new to you?

I do think that seeing a T would be very helpful to you. You can learn why you're having anger management dificulty as well as healthy techniques to work through your emotions, before you reach BOOM stage. My brother used to hit telephone poles and walls with his fists, shouting profanties, and he'd say that it was better than going off on his girlfriends. That turned out not to be true. What he was doing is emotional abuse and it's a very slippery road. It's NOT okay behavior.

Good for you for noticing this tendency within yourself and asking why. That really is way ahead of my brother. So, kudos to you! Take the next step forward and get help to work through your emotions in a healthy way.

Sounds angry to me. Not much information here so I will just talk somewhat generally.
...

First rule of anger expression is never do anything self or other destructive, never destroy something of yours that is valuable that you will regret later. always hit something soft and inanimate like a pillow etc.
If it feels therapeutic to break something, which it sometimes can be, then break some old junk that belongs to yourself and you were going to throw out etc etc.
Sounds like you may not be fully aware of who or what you are angry at and it is deflecting into other channels. Sounds like it's' probably not those things you "normally tolerate".
It might be more than just feeling about anger.

Your emotion is probably not a problem , it is rising to help you solve some kind of problem.
It sounds like you need to do some self-digging and then some directed communication with others

In any case here is a tip: Every piece of anger about something is based on an expectation. Finding and dropping your expectation eliminates the specific anger about whatever. For instance something someone does may bother you and anger you. Dropping your expectation that they 'shouldn't do that' will end the anger and make you accepting. You may then still be actually bothered but the acceptance of it will help you to find another solution or simply the solution of living with it ..etc etc.

.
Aggressiv aner is justified wen peopel are under oppression. Howeve a person mmust use assertive confrontation when delaing with ordinary social relationships.

how this is helpful to you or someone.

===>
soem peopel need to learn to expresa nger in a safe environment or off by themsleves first before they confront something 'in vivo" conf adn some peopel don't. It's a complicated thing, there is no blanket stement to cover this.
Wahtever happens aner is part of us and part of our lives. Own it and make it wwork for you is the best for every perosn

I only broke some pencils, rest were broken by brother. older than me. i also tore up a picture that i worked on, but i figured that i could easily redraw it. i figured that what makes me mad is when other people go through my stuff w/out permission and when i tell them to stop they don't. then they wonder sometimes lecture my, why i am so upset. also my mom getting mad because she tends to yell a lot. she also has to be right and she tends to put others ddown
