The last few days, I just have not been caring about anything. Today just made it that much worse. Just found out that a friend of mine was in a car accident last night. He didn't make it. I just keep asking myself, "why wasn't it me in that car, and not him". I just don't understand how life works. He had so much going for him too. I'm not even sure how I feel about anything anymore. It's like I'm just walking through the day or night, with no emotion whatsoever, good or bad. Not even sure if that makes any sense. I guess what I'm saying it's like walking in a daze with no end in sight.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope the clouds start to break up and you can feel again soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I guess you must be feeling quite numb. All I can say is that it's okay to feel as you do. To have those feelings of apathy. Apathy is said to be caused by feelings of frustration, powerlessness and the suppression of emotions.

I can understand how you feel. After hearing about your friend, you're stunned! How could that possibly have happened! He was so young!

These things make no sense. They never do. But they happen all the time, unfortunately.

Why do you think it should have been you? I figure it this way. God must have needed your friend "up there" more than He figured we needed him down here. He must have a job for him to do, so He called him home. He couldn't do that job here. So yes, you'll grieve for him, but you can BET that he'll be with you. You won't be without him. I have a feeling that you'll get some sort of sign that he's been around, whether it's something falling off a shelf, or something's been moved, or a door slamming -- he'll give you a sign. You just have to be aware. These type things DO happen as I've seen them myself MANY times after friends and family members have died. Just bide your time, and you'll see it too.

I'm very sorry for your loss -- I really am. It's tragic to lose someone like that, especially someone so young. My thoughts & prayers are with you. God bless and please take care of yourself, ok? Hugs, Lee
