So I just got diagnosed with epilepsy. That's scary in itself.
But now I have to wait three months after my last seizure until I can drive again. And I have to quit the job I've been at for almost two years because I am not allowed to drive clients for work for at least one year after my last seizure. (My job requires that I be able to drive our clients to and from appointments, etc...) I will not be able to find another job within walking distance in my field of study. (I can't ride a bike.) This sucks. Someone said I should look into disability benefits. I guess I can see about that today. |

I don't know what your field of study is but I'd look into working at group homes or being the "base" instead of the driver? If you can get a ride/take a bus to work in the morning and home in the evening, that would be okay I'd think. You can't work something out so you and clients could take the bus/public transportation? The City does not have smaller handicapped buses of some sort your agency could request so you all could still get to/from a central location?
