I honestly think that I will never get better, no matter what anyone says. And I truly don't want to get better. I'm just so confused with everything all the time. I've tried group therapy, talking to a therapist and those didn't work. And I feel like I need to go to a boarding treatment center because it's the only way I can even think of to get better.

I think you just need to find the right thing for you and you will feel better,if it is going to a boarding treatment center then that is what you may need to do. I had to go to group therapy and a therapist a long time before I started to feel better, sometimes it does take time. I do hope you get better.

mnp2012,
Welcome back to pc!
Many people who can not talk about their pain begin to do self harm. And there are hundred ways we do this. To cut yourself is not the answer!
Maybe going away for a while will benefit you but only if you are going there with the intent of getting better.
I wish you well. If you want you can pm me I dont judge.

It might be that you just haven't found the RIGHT therapist. It does make a difference. If the two of you don't "click" then therapy just doesn't go anywhere.

I had a shrink once who was just useless. I could have gotten more treatment from a tree frog. This guy just sat there and made a grunting noise every now and then -- that's all I heard the whole hour. After about 4 sessions, I said "to heck with that!" I quit going, and found another therapist, and THAT ONE really "clicked" with me -- and we made HUGE progress!!! From the first day I could tell that this one was going to be great. I found out about her from 'word of mouth.'

So ask around, and see if you can find a GOOD therapist, and maybe you'll make more progress than you're making. See who other people have been going to, and you might have more luck..

Take care and I wish you the very best. God bless! Hugs, Lee

For a long time I thought I would never get better either. But I have been doing better and better for a while now. I have been able to do more, to go more places, to interact more. It's better then Iever thought it would be. Take things slowly, one day at a time. and remember, live just for the day. We have only tody to live for, after all. -M.
