I always feel sad, and so, so alone. There's not really a reason for it, but I'm always down. I feel like no one is there for me, like I can't really talk to anyone. When I get down enough, I cut, and I've been trying to stop, but it's not going so well. Why am I so sad all the time? I don't remember the last time I was really, truly happy.
I'm 16 and a girl, and I get that maybe this is just teen hormones, or something, but it feels much stronger and longer-lasting than that. Does anyone else feel like that, sometimes? |

Without medication I'm depressed to the point where I can barely get out of bed. I was a very sad teenager, and I ended up turning to drugs.
I have a feeling that you might have depression as well, so I urge you to talk to your doctor about your sadness and cutting habit. It's worth it when you get yourself on antidepressants and can start living a more fulfilling life again.

Lefu,
get help I had similar problem as a teen my family just said I was dramatic and thought it was "boy drama". I first attempted suicide when I was 10 years old and then began to cut at 12 years old...it is not a phase and you really should get help...I finally sought hello at 16 and went into counseling and got on some meds...by the time I was 18 I wasn't cutting anymore and by 19 I was able to stop counseling... I'm 24 now and have fallen back into depression in the last few months and even cut myself a week or so ago..I know it's hard to reach out but it'll be worth it...feel free to PM me if you need to talk or vent. |

I'm diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. I often times struggle with feeling alone and that no one really likes me too. Especially on long breaks from college or in the winter around the holidays. That's actually the main reason I joined this forum so that I could have people to talk to on a non professional level. So far it seems to be helping. I'm not sure how to help you besides saying that we are here to listen. I can certainly relate to what you are going through. Sometimes when I feel like that I just go out somewhere like a Starbucks or something. Anywhere with people. Even though I may not talk to them I usually feel less alone. I wish you the best. *hugs*
