I have a problem holding in my anger when things get me upset.
then what happens is that weeks later a tiny little thing that's not that bad I will explode on and then people don't understand that

Hello there,

Bottling it up doesn't work then does it. Do you have a therapist to work with on this? The trick is to learn to let that anger out safely at the time.

Yeah, don't do that. I nearly killed someone like that. Not a nice experience for me or her.

I'm definitly with pegs on this one. Learn how to express your anger in healthy ways, at the time you're feeling angry. Not after the fact.
Repressing and bottling always backfires, and I'm proof that the backfiring can escalate dangerously.

Oh and a warm to PC
