happy, sad, funny, I am so overly emotional all the time that I will weep at the craziest things. I can't control myself. Who sobs uncontrollably because there's a cute ostrich on tv? Me, that's who.

Yesterday I cried at a Pixar short about umbrellas. I still can't say why, other than I was amazed by the CGI. (Now if it had been the introduction to Up, that would have been understandable)
There are a lot of ideas running through our subconscious, and our reactions can trigger from the slightest of things.

I hate how a can't control my tears. I can hold my composure completely, yet tears still manage to sneak through. So embarrassing. :/

Is it possible you're upset about something big and it's just sort of attaching itself to things so it can come out somehow? Kind of like springing a leak if that makes sense?

Crying is so relieving, in fact it's weird I'm answering this post, because that is how i feel right now, i was just thinking i need to cry and i read this post. I feel like i need a release right now but no tears will come i just feel very tired too, even after hours of sleep. I also feel a headache coming on, of which i haven't had a headache in a few years, I do just want to cry but i can't. sorry for repeating but i don't know how to shake this feeling and can't handle it right now.
Thanks for this!

TV ads make me cry all the time. Particularly ads about adopting dogs or donkeys. I've noticed I tend to get teary at sad ads when I've been feeling a little miserable, but ignoring it.

Me too. I think it's because there are deep unresolved and insoluble issues always pressing below the surface of consciousness and often popping through, so I know very well what they are. YMMV.
