I look around my daily surroundings, scenery and objects I see every day and yet it doesn't seem real. It feels like I'm in a dream within a dream. I know I'm in the really real world, but I don't know what to make of these feeling of false reality. Has anyone else felt like this?

I used to always been dissociated from my environment. it took a conscious effort to become a part of it. I would have to really look and take in the features to connect with things. the red vase with the multicolored flowers in the corner on the brown table with the marble top, the more details the better to make things real.

Every day!

I feel like i just havent woken up properly and im still in a dream, i find it really hard to concentrate as well being so disconnected from my surroundings.

The only (healthy) thing that manages to snap me back in to reality is if i go for a run

My question is, is this caused by the meds or is it part of my illness? I'm on Prozac, Depakote, Clozeril, and Effexor. My dx is Schizoaffective disorder.

I feel like everything only exists in my scope. Things only exist because I think of them.

This often happens to me at the worst of moments... like driving! And added to this, I get horrible thoughts like "let's crash that car over there" or "let's ram that ***hole over here"... terrible!
