And everything else it seems. Anything happy, sad, beautiful, upsetting. Could be a sweet commercial on tv or a sad song. I think it's a side effect of my medication, I was never like this before. My tears usually don't last long. But they all too often flow in public or inopportune times. Anyone else experiencing this?

Crying obviously is quite an emotional reaction for a TV ad or song. This usually happens when you are longing for the emotional connection that will yield the same emotions as the ones evoked by that sad/happy song or heart warming ad. Am I right in assuming that you tend to withhold your emotions around other people? Perhaps to guard yourself against any vulnerability?

If so I am the same. And the only way to solve it is to allow yourself to become more expressive. Its hard because it requires you to trust others with your feelings and it may be uncomfortable at times. But it is far better than depriving yourself of an element vital to your mental and even physical health, emotional connection.

A psychiatrist. It's just abbreviation some people use.

I cry over everything too, but it's not my medication. I've always been this way. I'm just intensely emotional. Like...really intensely. If you think it's affecting your life I would talk to a therapist, maybe?

That's got to be it. Too often people describe me as apathetic and "blank". I have trust issues so I guess that's where it stems from.

Do Not Surpress Those Feelings! Maybe for the 1st time you are experiencing feelings as they should be experienced!

Crying with minimal provocation on a frequent basis suggests SOMETHING is wrong. First guess of course would be depression, but seriously if your on various medications and such, you need a professional opinion.

MENOPAUSE...OK for me...If a password doesn't work. When my baseball team loses (or sometimes when they win). When my cat gets mad at me. When I can't get the batteries to fit in something. If I can't get bread to rise properly. I'm not on medication. I'm afraid of it. I've seen side effects of it.
