I just want something exciting to do. It's hard because I can't afford to do much. There's nothing to do.

When I feel that way I start to do something I know I do not want to do and suddenly I can think of a lot of things I'd rather do

I sometimes think of/write about opposites; when I get tired of to-do lists, I make to-don't lists. You can be bored anywhere so why not do something you wish would get done but don't want to do (like clean up my front bedroom for me :-) I always have projects started or things I "wish" would happen, etc. and sometimes I even get interested in them again just by doing some of the preliminary/easy/boring work of them.

When you speak of "exciting" things to do - what are some of the exciting things that you have already done in your life? What do you consider to be exciting? Can you think of one thing that you might possibly perhaps like to do?

I can't think of any exciting things I've done. They've all been rather boring.

Things I do when i'm bored:
- "Create" a new recipie. Just take whatever is in my cabinets and throw together a dish. And name it.
- Look up crafts to make online (such as woven bracelets, picture frames, duct tape stuff)
- Go outside and build something (find sticks and make a mini log cabin inside, find pretty leaves or flowers and press them, take a camera and just go take pictures)
