hey guys. For those who may or may not know, I just moved from Northern VA to a suburb near Houston TX. I left incredibly dreary weather to mid 70s and bright sun.
Overall I'm happy with the move. but I had some instances of anxiety yesterday and during the long drive down. It's the first time ever, that I will live in a state where there are no family members nearby in case I need help. I have a friend nearby though. She knows about my mental health struggle. The other thing that keeps popping up in my mind, is what if I am not successful in finding good job (I am already employed) out here. Finding a good paycheck in a govt. job was the only reason I relocted last year to NOVA. I never felt comfortable in VA. I left my home state of CA and landed in awful weather in Jan. 2013. I was immediately out of place. I tried so hard to get a good job. But it never happened. After giving it nearly a year, I decided to move on. I came here because I always wanted to live here in TX. So far, I like it. It reminds me of home in many ways. I had some very good sleep last night and today the anxiety has not returned. I did take one of my anti-anxiety meds this afternoon. I got a lot of errands run and I'm slowly getting the apt. together. Anyway, just thought I'd update you guys. Any thoughts on where the anxiety is coming from? Thanks

Anxiety in this case is quite normal. I would worry if you did not feel any anxiety. Good move!
