There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying. When I was a child I had a FEVER. My hands felt just like two balloons. Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am. I have become comfortably numb

In some regards being numb is great. You know longer care about what other people think and you can do whatever you want. But be careful not to stay there too long :/ It sucks the color out of life and eventually you forget what they looked like to begin with. There is something about connecting with the world around you that keeps you stable and grounded and when I went numb a year ago I almost destroyed myself. It's comfy and you feel like floating but if you float too far away it gets so very hard to come back from.

I am in the numb stage, but I still care what people think. I am so lost and alone, I can't breathe sometimes. I know what its like. You're not alone.

I do like that song comfortably numb...Though most of the time when I feel numb it is certainly more uncomfortable than comfortable.
