Hi all! I am new to this site and I like it very much. I wanted to know your experiences with CBT therapy. Is it helpful to you, is it hard to work on the coping skills?

I am not aware of CBT - can you share what this stands for and I will look it up. I am open to trying about near anything to be my 'old' self. Thank you

I found it helpful for some things. I used some of the techniques to overcome stuff like being nervous about making telephone calls. For me, I find it works well if I have a very specific issue.

I think it depends on the person, what they went through, are still dealing with & what their limits are.

It's also really important to have an understanding therapist. My last one kept trying to push me too hard when she felt my progress slowed down.

As mentioned in an earlier comment I too have found the technique to be helpful only for certain things. Whether that's true for the next person really depends on what I said earlier.
