When I get angry or sad, I start crying and can't stop. It's very embarassing if it's in public or something. I wish I could hold it in.
Sometimes people say it's good to cry, but my problem is that when I'm upset I could cry for 5 hours straight and I wouldn't feel any better. Any one else with this problem? |

depressedforyears, We all cry, but five hours seems extreme. Have you been to see a mental health professional to discuss this?

I've had this problem... almost any heightened emotion tears me open. When I get really angry I cry... it's humiliating.
As a result, I've become very jaded... I've desensitized myself and made a strong effort to keep away from attachments because I'm so afraid I'll get upset about something and lose control and start crying... It sucks.

Crying or whining? Or just "pissed" off? Tears and piss can be mixed. If angry, just say you are angry.

When I was a teenager I got into a few (physical) fights every now and then... I cried through every one. In hindsight it may have acrually worked to my advantage, because the crying would sometimes throw them off when I would swing. Nonetheless - the public humiliation that followed was painful.
But honestly, nearly any heightened emotion leads to crying for me... happy, sad, angry... you name it.
