My dad has terminal cancer. He's currently recieving chemotherapy for it. Two days ago, I heard mum was having a go at my dad. She even said there's no point of him here. I can imagine how my dad feels. She even called him an arsehole and apparently his wallowing in his cancer. She even treats my brother like a piece of crap. I remember she called him the devil, said he's a piece of **** and also said something about he means nothing to her. I can't take this.

I'm sorry you have to witness that. I've known people like this and it's nothing to do with you or your dad, it has everything to do with your mothers insecurities.

My mother is just like you describe. Sucks and doesn't make any sense to me.

I don't think she knows about the support. She knows she can go to friends for support. My dad is well enough but sometimes my mum does things for my dad. I also help too.

Dear friend. My mother went off the deep end when my father became ill. Some of what you are seeing from your mother is probably a result of her fear and stress, and, as odd as it sounds, if she has always picked on your dad, then for her to continue picking on him is probably normal to her. I wish I could help you more.
