I don't have a short fuse anymore, I was known for having a short fuse back when I felt 'alive', i.e before depression took center stage. It seems that my depression has solved my anger issues, but that's only because I'm so numb these days, I deal with such rude people everyday, I was insulted by someone, and I just walked away like I didn't care. My friends tell me I should have stood up for myself, but what's the point ? It's not like I give a damn about myself.
Now people think I don't have any self respect. |

I think everyone is stressed-out and is critical of others these days. I don't think the media helps the way they spread gossip and put poor values into your head. More and more I fantasize about living far away from any town in the mountains or country somewhere. It does feel like the World is imploding and there's no escape from stress of any kind. Everything seems to present a problem.
I did the same thing, too and walked away from a high-paying Govn't job, filed bankruptcy, moved back home 2000 mi. away and eventually ended up seeing a Psychiatrist on a daily basis, taking horrible medications and getting back onto SSDI. The job and the abuse just wasn't worth it. I didn't do anything to warrant scathing personal attacks. I don't have the answer.

You may have already solved your anger and depression. You mature actions tend to show this. I think you know when you need to stand up for yourself.
