I assuming my problem is kind of lame. I mean - there really is no problem.
My situation is this - I have a friend in jail (90 days/dwi); then i have another friend who cause of mental problems signed himself into a psych ward; then i have another friend who had total knee replacement (TKR) who is not doing well; then I have me. I was laid off in 03/11 and haven't found a full-time job since. Because of that, couldn't pay the mortgage, so losing the house - 09/23. At the most I will get like 5K. I've lived in this house for 30yrs. I'm also a volunteer (tho they do pay me a tiny fee sometimes, depending) at a local crisis/information hotline.
I'm just so freakin' numb. My 20yo cat died last month from some type of infection - my other cat died in a neighbor's pool 6mo before. I have no where to go, nor other friends to go too. I make about $6K/yr doing merchandising resets. Never been married, haven't had sex since 81.
I'm not a depressive
- All of these life challenges are making me numb. Please, don't tell me to go to social services or to 'buck up' or similar crap. I'm 60yo w/a college degree - and believe me, i've been to interviews. I'll never be suicidal - merely because (to me) - life, even in agony, is still worthwihle.
So - like i said - i don't have any problems or they are lame problems.
I just don't know what to do about anything. i feel so sad, cause we (my bro & sis-in-law share the house) and since i was laid off - well, i couldn't pay my bills and we're losing everything. Please don't tell me to investigate mortgage re-finance and crap like that - it's all been done.
Whatever - take care everyone.
So, I just need a friend right now. That's all.

Hi, and welcome to PC. I know many people who feel as you do. It saddens me, because I have the feeling that you might be one of those people whop is valued more by the world than you know.

I am so very sorry about your cats. There is no worse pain.

I'm sorry about your cats and losing your house - it sounds like you have a lot of problems hitting you one after the other. I hope your luck changes for the better soon.
Thanks for this!
