I'm hoping someone else has experienced this.. I had someone come into my shop today.... someone I don't like..... someone who likes to tell manipulative stories...
If I think about it too much... I think I could get the sense that he was telling stories with me in mind..... He is actually an author... and does tell a lot of manipulative stories.. anyway, I started feeling defensive while he was telling the story.... and after he left, I wasn't sure what to do... just ignore. it? give his story some serious thought.. and decide that if I was feeling defensive then it is because it's an issue I need to deal with? The thing is.. I don't trust that he has good intentions... so, I'm inclined to get the entire encounter out of my mind...... |

if you know the person tells stories and is manipulative, it is best to let the whole encounter go......take care.

this person sounds like he needs to manipulate others because he is lacking control in his own life. if you feel this person is setting you up for failure/anxiety/etc, it may be best to take what he said and attribute it to his own character flaws, and not to your personal issues.
