I need the Emotions Anonymous (EA) program. Can't get to meetings, but would like to start a forum online -- maybe here at psych central. Anyone interested? Or, does anyone know if there is an EA forum online? There is an EA email list, but I don't want that. Anyone here in EA who has my predicament?

I know way back when I was able to find aa chat rooms online in different venues. I imagine you could probably find EA as well.

Someone from EA has responded to a message I sent. She says there's a forum at Big Tent. I'll hunt for that, and she's going to send me the URL, too.

Sorry -- I didn't mean officially to host. I meant maybe I could start an Emotions Anonymous thread here, is all. Thanks for your most recent post. I have developed art to a certain extent since art therapy. I just feel inadequate, partially because my apartment is so small and it's a huge hassle to set up for watercolor painting. I did that for 2 years and got pretty good, but not good enough to really suit my personal standards. I'm told my personal standards are too high. I'd like to get into less realistic type painting, and that is what the Art Therapist and I will be discussing. My b/f is a professional artist. We like to draw together. That always makes me feel good! We went out into Nature yesterday -- probably the last time before Spring -- and drew trees and the river. Fun! We like to do abstract collages, and we can do that this winter.

What about simply a free or nominal fee support group? Without 12 steps, powerlessness, etc.? Plus, there are social groups on here, and there might be a group for art, art therapy, art self-therapy - find out or start one. It is easy to take pictures of your creations and share them with others, and that would provide cohesion for the group and make the feeling of isolation dissipate.
