My friends tell me that crying is a sign of weakness no matter the circumstances. But I tend to not be ashamed or feel weak when i cry over something that makes me feel good. I feel in tune and centered within my joy and express it how i feel natural. Am I weak or am I being shamed by friends?

I do not think that crying is weak when you have the feelings to cry be it happy or sad. It does sound a bit like your friends are shaming you. Crying is a normal physiological response that is actually healthy.

You have something to be proud of here. Your friends are scared and jealous.
