This might not belong here, but, eh, whatever. After really realizing and contemplating that death is unavoidable and that there is seemingly no point to life, I just don't care anymore, about anything. Now, I'm certainly not suicidal, I'd never wish to put anyone through the guilt and mental pain that would cause. My grades are suffering, and I'm losing friends, I only eat when I'm absolutely starving, as I never have an appetite. I'm tired all the time, but not because of lack of sleep, but because life is just exhausting, even though I hardly do physical work. I just need help and advice, thanks. I can give more info if you need it.

((supersonic)) I am sorry to hear about your present feelings and emotions. I can understand that life is very troubling at times and it seems fruitless sometimes as well. I am wondering if you are clinically depressed. Do you take any medications or do you have a therapist? Not eating is certainly going to drain your energy levels as well. Have you tried taking supplements? How about any relaxation techniques to help your thoughts from getting so negative? There is always hope of some kind. The most effort is finding what works for you. I hope that you are sleeping well as that can ruin one's entire day. I would ask for help from your doctor as there is most probably something that they can do to help you feel better. I am sorry to hear about your friend situation. I have lost a few lately myself. I really hope that things look up for you soon.

Tired and exhausted are symptoms of a nutritionally devoid diet. Advice would be find a way to prioritize nutrition...

If you have a primary care doctor or can find one, I would go. It sounds like you have a medical or mental health problem going on. There are several medical problems that can cause mental health problems, so that's why I'm suggesting you start there. You should tell the doctor what you've told us here.

What you said right there makes me think that your depression is pretty bad.

It is possible to think that there's no special "point" to life but to still find enjoyment in the day-to-day moments. At least it is for most people. There are a few extremely philosophical people who might feel that that's not the case. Usually, though, this is a red flag for depression.

I hope that you'll see a doctor and also that you'll continue to participate in the Psych Central community. It's very helpful to know that other people are going through similar problems and to see how they're dealing with them.

Hello, Supersonic and welcome here!
The symptoms you describe also seem to me as a depression.
For your words you have been dealing with psychological issues for a long time and you see your situation arrived to a non return point.

You know what I think? I was in this state before and what I think is thst if you get to see even a tiny light in all this ( phone a doctor, talk with someone and tell him/her to take to the doctor...), you have many possibilities to overcome this situation little by little and learn how to manage better your life in the future.

Talk with us, and tell us how you are feeling and what you are getting.

Have you ever taken meds for depression before or going to therapy or both?
