Basically, most of the time it feels like I have an empty mind, that there's nothing going on, no real thoughts, no feelings, it's just empty, and I don't know why.
Sure, part of it can be that I"m not engaged enough in the world around me, so what does it have to even think about, but maybe it's something else |

It sounds a little bit like numbness? Do you think it's perhaps because you're trying to avoid thinking about a particular thing/event that you end up feeling like you're not thinking at all?

I had times where I just wasn't aware of what was going on in my mind.....until I was able to stop & focus using mindfulness to realize that there was in reality...a lot going on in my mind, I just wasn't aware of it.....doesn't mean that it's empty when our awareness just isn't there to know what it is that is going on or the thoughts that are actually happening....I would have sworn that my mind was empty too until I became more aware.

I'm not sure about numbness, I don't know of any thing/event that I would be avoiding, considering there's nothing going on. It's probably just because of that simple fact, that there's nothing going on, so my mind is just empty, as there's nothing worth thinking about. It's just a very unpleasant feeling, makes me feel a bit dumb, empty headed.

I remember you mentioned wanting to pick up some sort of hobby that wouldn't be too expensive. Perhaps we can brainstorm some more ideas you can try so that you feel like you're working on something?
