I did a group years ago where I learned about identifying emotions by paying attention to body sensations. I received a number of handouts about this, but seemed to have misplaced them. Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about, and if so have any online resources they can link?

There is absolutely a correlation between emotions and the body. I used to be abused when I was a kid so at 15, I got stomach spasms. The spasms were totally brought on by my stress. Also I got IBS from stress. Our body is like a shock absorber when it comes to emotions. everyone takes it in different parts of their body. Some people get headaches or migraines. That is why so many doctors are willing to disregard people's complaints. They chalk it all up to stress or emotions.
I like this article, especially. Where Your Body 'Feels' Emotions Revealed In New Study (VIDEO) Hope this is a start. |

Yeah, I saw that, but it isn't what I was looking for. It was much older info that I first received around 10-11 years ago. It was a group T that passed it out to the group of women that had all sustained varring levels of CSA and childhood physical abuse. We did a bit of work with it then.
