I'm dealing with an unending avalanche of **** as it is, and this evil roommate who has basically been bullying me for months is now stealing from me as well. I don't know what to do. I've got somewhere else to go for the moment, but I need to stay at this place with her for another month (then, thank God, she's leaving). I'm going to try to stay at my alternate place as much as possible (and I've got it to myself, so there's no issue with that). It's kind of ******, but what can I do. Anyway, though, it's a month. I need to go back and forth for essentials sometimes and I'm so afraid of being triggered by her.

I should mention that I have serious health issues, and the stress, especially her malice, is making all that worse. She would deliberately wake me up at night, which is what initially made me seek refuge elsewhere. The landlady is *****, and does nothing about it. I've already been spiraling because of my declining health. I'm only 30, but I'm already looking at a shortened life span, debilitating handicaps...not to mention the pain (physical and otherwise). This little **** stomping on me
Possible trigger:
I don't know what to do or where to turn. Moving out would not be easy, and I don't have help to do it. I don't think I can do it on the fly, though I would if I could. My entire life is a shambles right now, and I just don't know how to deal with this malicious little monster.

Can you use a safe to keep items away from being stolen and get a lock on your door to prevent her from coming in at night, maybe even one with a key to keep your room locked when not there? Sorry to read you've the roommate from Hades. And that they've brought such stress to your life. Glad you've a place to stay until they move.

People like her do not respond to decent requests etc.,and complaining just makes them do more of their behavior. I am
really angry on your behalf at this little *****. Suggestion: could
you not do what she is doing to you? Waking HER up,for instance?` Or what about a visit by police?
Blessings,

Hello. I can honestly say I know how you feel. I just moved from renting a room from an older couple who were devious and outright mean! They locked me out of the house, went through my personal belongings in my room, refused to to turn on the air when is was over 90 degrees inside the house. The house was infested with roaches and they refused to exterminate. Also, the man butted me against my chest and assaulted me. I had to call the cops who did apsolutley nothing. I had to move out early and I had already paid my rent for the month. I have to pray about my resentment against them, but I am still so angry that they got by with all this malicious behavior because of their age. So, I sure do hope things work out for you. I myself got to move to a much better place thanks to god. Wishing you all the best.

Sevensong,

I think you're actually handling it quite well. You've determined you don't have the energy to deal with this person, so you've figured out how to be away from her as much as possible during the next month. A lock on your door is a great idea, and shouldn't be hard to do. You can actually install it yourself if you can handle a screw driver. Maybe for the next month remove all the valuable things from your home and store them at your alternate dwelling so she doesn't have the opportunity to get to them?

Since you're only going to go back to pick up stuff, can you bring someone with you whenever you need to go and get stuff? That way there is a buffer between you and her and you don't get caught alone with her?

Look at this way, it's only a month, only 4 weeks and then you have the place to yourself again. Try to enjoy your vacation away from her in the alternate space and enjoy the peace and quiet rather than get worked up from your anger at her.

I think you've taken almost all the steps you need to until you're free from her. A lock on the bedroom door would be the best next step.

Good luck.
Seesaw
Thanks for this!

Try confronting her, pouring out all your emotions, and try to talk her into stopping this nasty habit.
