Hello everyone.
I just figured I'd drop by to mention that there is an app growing in popularity that is focused 100% around positivity. People post what makes them feel happy or grateful and if you agree with it or like it you can 'Smile'... Sort of like a Facebook like. Happy little things. The idea is to focus your mind on more positive things, regardless of how little they may seem. You are of course able to post the things in your day that make you feel positive and add pictures too, which can allow others to smile back at what made you smile or be happy. There is no space for negativity there, just positive vibes. I can understand that some people may be a little bitter, envious or jealous at what some people may post, but that can be a side effect of downers in regards to many mental health issues - simply ignore (or don't Smile at) what you don't like or don't agree with and scroll along until you find something that you think is nice. The app is free and has no advertisements or in-app purhases (thankfully) and is available on the Google Play Store. I'm not sure if iOS (iPhone) has a version but if it doesn't I wouldn't be surprised if there was one in the works. I hope this post is informative and I'd like to know what people think of it after having used it for a while. The app is in its early days it seems and isn't hugely popular as of now, but as it gets downloaded more and fills out with more posts and people, I think it will help go further in regards to uplifting those that choose to use it. May it be a tool in your arsenal against negative moods and a positive step for your well-being. Take care all and be happy. Lee Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) using Tapatalk. |

Let us know how you get on. The Android version needs some work on it but I'm sure that will come soon enough and of course over time more and more people are going to be downloading it. I like the nearby section - happy occurrences around the same town.

I absolutely love Happier. I've been using it for over a year now and it definitely helps me see the positive, even when I'm not in a good place.
I'm Nikki M. On Happier if anyone wants to look me up and connect. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

By the way, if you do not have a smart phone the website is just as good.

Instead of creating a new thread I'll just post this here:
http://time.com/4042834/neuroscience-happy-rituals/ Not sure how effective antidepressants are vs these things but in combination it may help a great deal. I think it would also help programme ours minds towards being more positive and more thankful for what we do have. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) using Tapatalk. |
