Whenever I get really excited some night about doing something that's gonna change my entire life and finally give me the happiness and freedom I've been searching for, I wake up the next morning utterly miserable, self-hating and self-pitying, unable to focus on DOING what I think is going to change my life in the first place. Why is this?

Is it possibly too overwhelming of a change? Do you write down goals and then break it down into steps?
Why you feel zapped of motivation with self loathing could be any number of things including depression, so it's truly difficult especially online to toss out anything specific as a reason. It could even be complex in person, to pinpoint an exact cause. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk |

If change was easy every body would do it. But first step would be to stop self-criticism, because it is a self-fulfilling prophecy, and self-discipline. You cannot rely on your emotions to change.

I studied my natal horoscope and developed a working knowledge of astrology and defined it's symbols. You may not recognize it as valid...until you study it. You have a Sun sign which describes your conscious intellect. You have a Moon sign that reflects your unconscious instincts and emotions. You have an ascendant sign which projects the image you present to the world...generated by your super ego.
With such information, you can gain much objectivity regarding your true motives and composition. There are several sites that provide free natal horoscopes. You must know the date, time, and location of your birth. You can get your Sun and Moon signs w/out the time (many people don't know)...it's a little tricky but doable. All three entities are important.
