Okay guys this is going to sound weird and random, but i'm stuck.
So my family just moved from a house we lived in for 20 years. It was extremely painful to leave all of the memories and I did not do well with it emotionally. I feel like my heart is still there, almost like a loss (I know it's not a person but it's how I feel) Anyway, I wrote a nasty message on the stairs that are covered by carpet (It said FU) while drunk and very sad and then covered it back up. Apparently the new owners found it and are upset, although they are planning to replace the carpet or restain the stairs. Anyway, I texted the new lady owner and apologized, and she told me to "get help" and was very mean. This lady is middle aged with children, and would not even listen to my explanation or apology. She also said other mean things and didn't seem to care at all that I was apologizing. I was polite and did not say anything mean back. For some reason I can't let this go, even though I know it is petty. I feel badly and I know I am more mature than this being that I am in my mid 20s. Should I just brush it off? I'm not sure how to proceed. I already apologized so I don't know what else I can do. help! |

I would just let it go. The damage is done and there is little you can do now. Leave her be lest she gets angry enough to persue legal action for you trying repeatedly to contact her. I know you feel bad, so try and distract yourself with work or whatever to make the time go by and before you know it, you won't be obsessing about this so much.
Take care! ![]()

She is just being mean, and she was being to you because you were available. She just took advantage of you so she could dump her bad feelings and anger on you. Best to keep away from her.
