Hi everyone. I recently posted an entry about my son and granddaughter being in a horrible motorcycle accident. They are both alive thanks to God. I wasn't dealing with my emotions very well when it happened at first and I was kind of out of control and going off on everyone. I am doing better now. I have come to accept the situation for what it is and am helping out in any way I can. I am trying to stay busy so I don't get too depressed thinking about the initial accident because that is what was driving me crazy going over it and over it again and again in my mind. But my son and granddaughter for make good progress in their recovery. My son is going to take a long time to recover but I know he can do it. Please keep us in your prayers. I love my son dearly and want to help him in any way I can, but he is also a narcissist and very difficult for me to get along with. I am going to try my best but any suggestions would be most appreciated on how I can help him out because he is physically impaired now, but he is still the same mentally and I want to be helpful not hurtful. So thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
Hugs from:

Well i will hazard a guess fwiw. My mother was a narcissist. I am thinking about how she reacted when she was ill and disabled for a long time. A narcissist likely is deeply ashamed of whatever losses in ability he has suffered, and would not want attention brought to them. On the other hand a narcissist might relish getting a lot of extra attention and special things done for him. The trick to getting along with my mother was for her to believe that we did stuff for her because she was special.not because she was impaired.
Thanks for this!

Hi there. Thank you very much for your reply I really appreciated it. I have never even thought to use that type of behavior with my son, so who knows maybe it will work. It sure is worth a try. Thank you very much.
Thanks for this!
