I; write letters, chat with friends, walk my dog, watch funny TV shows, go to therapy, get my nails done, ride my bike, listen to music, take pictures/videos, spend time with my family, go thrifting, smile....

Writing in my journal, reading...going to the library, painting. Or just sitting outside. Going for a walk helps too. I especially like to walk on a mission. Like walking to the store or the library or with the dogs.

Reading, music and watching various TV shows always help. Sometimes chatting with friends (depends on my mood); walking and running usually lift my spirits/put me in a good mood.

I make sure I get out every day for something......That is so important. Even though I really am busy......I still manage to be with people even if I am just in a crowd. My favorite place to de stress and be out is at Mc Donalds three times a week for breakfast or more...and the newspaper

This is a tough one and very difficult when you have depression and I'm very glad that someone else (besides me) recognizes that being sad is not the same as being depressed....so thank you for that.

I watch funny videos. Baths with all sorts of good smelling things doesn't necessarily make me laugh, but it does feel good. Actually all kinds of good smelling things help me.
Uplifting music helps, but I don't have any kind of playlist and really should get one together.
Cuddling my son's dog...I dare anyone to not smile at puppies!

I tend to look on the bright side Real example. Sometimes I wish I owned a dog. OTOH I don't need to worry about the responsbilities. I believe one can only own a pet if one can truly take care of the responsibilities.

Try to remember that I have it better than a lot of people. I have a lot of good things in my life, to out weigh the bad.
Thanks for this!

So true!! Simply being thankful for a roof, floor, water, food, the basics! (:
