Why is it when a normal person goes through hell their emotions are acknowledged and their worries validated? People look at and consider the evidence of their plight and act with concern and support.
I am going through hell right now yet my worries have been dismissed and treated as invalid. Despite the evidence for my worry and anxiety they treat me with disdain and accuse me of over reacting. Given the identical circumstances people would rush to acknowledge and support the 'normal' person yet, because I am bipolar my feelings must automatically be unreasonable. The fact is there exists a great deal of evidence these situations will go badly. No matter how 'reasonable' I try to be, the evidence nothing is wrong is non-existent. I think I am due acknowledgement and validation. I want acknowledgement that the situations are difficult and upseting. I want it recognized that my worries are reasonable and to be expected. I am not running away with my thoughts and jumping to unfounded conclusions. Conjecture has been based on fact. The difficult conclusions are likely. |

Whether we like or not, this world is biased toward those who fall within the norms. Others who happen to fall outside the norms, maybe tolerated, but are not fully accepted, unless they conform to the norms and act normal. Sorry if that was negative and unhelpful, but I think it's true.

As I mentioned in another post I stood up and called people out on their inconsiderateness, hurtful actions, and disregard. I demanded they take notice. I demanded they acknowledge I am in fact facing difficulty. I chastized them for brushing my feelings off. They took notice.
