I'm trying to cope with my emotions. I've been through a divorce and custody issue already. Now I'm losing a friend that I've had for over 20 years. I've noticed that he's been distancing himself and he's been with me through thick and thin. Lately he hasn't really been there for some of my issues and he tends to disappear. He asks for my whereabouts continuously of which he never did before and it seems that whenever we would speak it would be for him to gather information.
I already have abandonment issues and he was one that j wa scrounging on being there. He is a compulsive liar and I've known that for years but I've accepted him either way. Today he told me that In Order for me to contact him that I need to go through his best friend. Everything has changed since December. I sent him a text explaining my feelings since our communication is now so lacking. I saw my therapist two days ago and we were talking about coping with emotions and just being able to accept your feelings as they are because your feeling will change or lessen as time goes on. I have a history of self destruction and inability to cope effectively. It's times like these that i have a hard time with. I'm not sure how to "sit" with my feelings. |

I have some of the same issues... It can be very hard for me to sit with intense feelings too... I can also relate to the self-destruction part... If you want, feel free to message me privately.

Would it help to write you're feelings and thoughts in a journal? Sometimes it helps to purge feelings and emotions inside. Im sorry you going through this.
