Hello, for as long as I can remember I have always turned to music. Since the age of 7 music is what soothed me after the physical and or sexual abuse. I would sit, listen and rock back and forth..... Since then I've used music to feel what ever emotions I want to feel, the only problem is I can't feel any emotion without music. I've tried and tried but all I get is numbness in the arms and legs and a weird feeling in and around my chest. I feel so empty and this causes me added anxiety. Will I ever learn the correct feelings with the correct emotions without my music? Do I tell My T? This is so difficult

Do tell your therapist about this. They can help you learn how to identify feelings with out music.
My daughter also had a hard time figuring our her emotions. We found books that helped her with that, but she was also going through the book with her therapist. |
