Music was denied to me until the age of 19......

I'm grateful that I'm now able to experience the healing power of some music

don't know the circumstances but I had a similar restriction on music too...

almost unbearable to listen or play music now.

I think I read in another post that you are nonetheless pushing forward and practicing violin. Is playing the violin almost unbearable too?

I work with audio and music for my job, and on most days, the idea of listening to music for pleasure is almost too sad. I miss the ecstasy and relief and chills it used to give me. But, it's one of the few things I haven't given up on yet, and am determined to enjoy it again some day.

I admire your determination and your empathy and understanding for others. I hope and believe you will be able to enjoy music again some day

And I'm grateful too that you can enjoy music, Fuzzy. You deserve it. You deserve a lot more, but it's a start.
