I had been suffering from depression and anxiety and managing it with therapy. I took some time to be away from my husband and stay with my parents so that I could get a break. During my stay there,my mom suffered a major stroke and has complications. I am so anxious and can barely visit her at the hospital. I feel like life is throwing me such curveballs . I feel so defeated.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having such struggles. I will say a prayer for your mother.

It sounds like you're really trying to take steps to get the depression and anxiety under control. I think having depression or anxiety makes us stronger, because we deal with so much on a daily basis.

I will keep you in my thoughts.

Life does throw you curveballs. All you can do is take good care of yourself when this happens. Are you seeing a therapist for the depression and anxiety? You may need the extra support right now. I’m sorry to hear about your mother. I hope she gets better soon. Sending big hugs.

Having issues with a sick parent can really throw us for a loop

You say you're seeing a therapist and that's wonderful. Have you considered taking any medication to help you?
