I just lost my beloved pet of 15 years. He was my world, I can't even cry about it, I start to think about him for a moment and stop myself and find something to distract me
I wont talk to anyone about it, but my therapist but last night in session, I just couldn't cry. I was telling him things no one knows on my mind about it and I just sat there, like a moron. I want to cry so badly, what the heck is wrong with me? This dog was my life, but I am acting like he never existed |

Hi DP, this can happen with a loss at first, it's part of being in "shock" about a loss like this. Not everyone can just sit and cry right away or feel, often the first thing that happens is being "stunned". Often the crying doesn't happen until you finally realize this special animal is no longer a part of your life and you begin to feel that missing.
