Things are falling apart at his end with the move. There is no control of the situation. I am growing angry and resentful. I hate these emotions.

Moving is always stressful, and it can be even more stressful when someone is not pulling their weight. Have you tried talking to him about how you're feeling, and what he could do to be more helpful?

I tried to (gently) let him know my expectations. When he seemed lost I provided him with a step by step list of instructions. He has done nothing and now we have no one to help. I don't know how we are going to do this.

That seems very stressful. I hope you get it resolved soon. (((((Hugs)))))

No not disabled but really scared about this. It means letting go of a lot of things he's carted around his whole life. Yeah I'm irritated because I did so and wonder why can't he? I'm not going to be happy if our spare room becomes a storage closet. I've done my part. I'm prepared.

Panic stations all day yesterday as one disaster fell after another. All our help at his end backed out. Then Uhaul told me I had to drive a 2 hour round trip to pick up a truck. Then the person who said they'd take a large antique wardrobe cancelled. Then the handle broke off the fridge door....
All but the handle has been resolved. I'm non confrontational but you would have been proud how I handled Uhaul. |
