Hello everyone,

Today I feel SO down in the dumps and need some support, please and thank you!!

I cannot shake this feeling. It's after the Christmas holiday, which means back to work and back to reality, which is depressing the heck out of me.

I have a LOT on my plate right now.

I MUST find a full-time job soon and that's got me feeling very down. I have not had a job offer in over a year, with many upon many rejections. I have to move out by the Spring, and I feel soooooo much pressure and stress because of that. Time is flying by, and not a single job offer in sight. More interviews are lined up. I cannot keep going through this!!!

And the new guy I'm dating didn't reply to my last text message last night when I told him I missed him. That has me depressed, too. I know he's been missing me too over the break we had during the holiday, but it makes me wonder if he's backing away. It was his first Christmas being divorced.

I don't know how to cope today. :/ Please help, even if it's just a hug and a word of encouragement. Thank you so much!!

I dont know how to help or what to say, but im by your side.
Sorry to hear you have so much pressure for the move and having to find a job. I understand, going through about the same, but without a deadline, whichajes things a lot better o guess.
As for the guy you're dating... i hope its due to stress and next exchange will be more positive and more rewarding. Let us know

TY!

He did finally text me and it was positive, so there's that at least. Yes, the moving deadline makes things much more stressful. ARGH.

TY! It's just my job situation, really, and having to move out by the Spring. Everything else is good. But this is a big issue that I must tackle and overcome. It hasn't been easy! Argh.

It's normal to feel some depression over the holidays especially after they end. There's so much to do, it can keep your mind busy on other things and then when they end, it's back to concerns of the day. I know it's a cliched saying but I always think of the saying, "This too shall pass". At some point, you will look back at these days and laugh at how you were feeling. Hang in there and just keep plugging away - things will get better...

Your guy was probably stressed by the holidays. Had nothing to do with his opinion of you. Where are you going to move to?

TY for your reply!

I am sure you are right about my guy. I tried to give him space this morning by not contacting him and letting him come to me, which he did.

I have no clue where I'm moving!! NO clue. I cannot afford to move with just a part-time job either. So if I don't land a full-time job soon in my field, I will have to get another (most likely unwanted) part-time job so I can move out.

You seem to be very resourceful, and open to many options. Get creative in your job search, and you will do well.

TY! I am resourceful, this is true, though the last thing I want to do is get another part-time job so that I can move out. My current job I may not even be able to keep for long, I don't know. They could decide to fire me any day. They already reduced my hours from full-time to half-time. I am trying not to think negatively though about that.

Be creative and look beyond the traditional "Job".

Thanks. The only creative angle is working from home. I am stuck in my field.

I hope you are feeling better, may be even a tiny bit more.
I wonder if your emotions are heightened around the holidays?
This wave shall also pass. In the meanwhile we will be here to support you.
