I had a mini panic attack during my 7th hour at school. I asked to be excused and I was. I went up into the bathroom and curled up into a ball, put my sweatshirt over my face and started to rock back and forth and I was breathing really fast too.

What can I do the next time I have a panic attack at school? Did I do the right thing today?

A few points:
1. Try breathing deeply and slowly.
2. Try to stay in the situation without leaving to the bathroom next time; do whatever you were doing through the attack;
3. Figure out what happened before the attack, or what caused it, and how you can confront that issue in a mature way;
4. Remind yourself through out the attack that it's just anxiety trying to tell you something; thank your emotional circuitry for being ready and willing to work you up into such an excited state;

Hope this helps; I know panic feels terrible but you're going to be fine

Hope you are ok aedgerle. Whenever I feel like this I always close my eyes for a few seconds and think of something really happy and peaceful, even something you have seen on TV.

It could be a waterfall or fountain or something like this. It helps me to calm down.

I really hope you find a way to deal with this.
