Lately I've been feeling down and kind of stuck in my life. I have no close friends as I lost them due to a very bad and controlling relationship, I'm also not very close with my family. I just find it so difficult to go through my day to day life without feeling as though I can't cope with anything I'm feeling. I have no motivation to really do anything and I hardly find myself interested in much. I've also found myself back in a really complicated situation with someone that I really have feelings for which has made everything so much worse. I really need some help...i feel so lost at this point

I’m not a professional but you sound a little depressed. Are you seeing a therapist or anyone you can talk about these feelings with?

I am sorry about your friends and family.

I agree that you seem to be describing depression.
A therapist is a good idea, too.

Are you back in the "controlling" relationship? If so, maybe couples counseling will help.

I hope you will continue to reach out here.

Funny enough I'm actually studying psychology at the moment and I am aware that I display many symptoms for depression. If i had to guess I'd say I probably have persistent depressive disorder but I've never actually been to a therapist and currently I am unable to do so although I've wanted to in the past. I'm just trying to get by as best as I can with what I have, though it's not really easy. But I've found things to be a bit easier since joining this community and I appreciate all the support.

Thank you and no it's not the controlling relationship I was previously in although it is still quite a complicated and troubling one.
