Something happened that I posted in the 12 steps because it happened at a meeting that has ties to a traumatic event that happened when I was fourteen, and even through talking about it in chat, in counseling, with my sponsor........I'm still triggered........like I feel vulnerable............

I replied in your other post too.

Is there anything you can do to self soothe. Can you take a warm shower or bath? Is there a certain food that reminds you of a good memory? Do you like to draw or read? How about adult coloring books?

For me distractions and soothing usually help. I tend to go straight to video games personally but reading or art work when I'm not able to play a game.

Take care of yourself.
