I have this burning question of why I always feel a woman would leave if she ever got with me. I've often felt 2nd best.
-Is it my cynical attitude of not trusting human nature?
-Is it because I don't trust women because other women in my life always ran to other guys they liked better?
- It has to be a self esteem/ self worth thing huh?
-Do I feel l'm not good enough?
I think many guys feel this way.
Why??????

Hello Funguy: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral.

Here are links to 3 articles, from PsychCentral's archives, on the subject of how to build self-esteem, the first by our host Dr. John Grohol, Psy.D.:

6 Tips to Improve Your Self-Esteem

How To Raise Your Self-Esteem – Psych Central

What Really Strengthens Self-Esteem – Psych Central

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

If you had inattentive parents, you may feel this way.
