Sometimes I get a kind of white hot, slightly burning sensation in my chest when I get a shock. Recently this happened when I found out a crush had a girlfriend.

Is there a specific term for this? I don't think it's "frisson" .

i've not heard of this but I'm sure that their probably is, hope that you find it and let us all know (I like learning medical terms for stuff)
