With cirrhosis the hormones are effected because of the liver not functioning correctly any more. There are many who have a hard time controling their emotions with this disease.

You are very introspective and that's good. I guess we live and learn. I've come to think that people do very stupid things that can cause us all kinds of grief. Seems like they were impaired somehow to do these things to us. Doesn't really excuse their actions but sheds some light on how they acted without thinking thoroughly of the consequences of what they did. I, too, have had people do horrendous things to me in my life and had rage, too. I used to take a drive and scream my head off to release some of my rage. Also, pretended they were sitting in the chair across from me and told them how they effected me and I also cried a whole lot.
