I really am mad at myself. I am one of those 'very smart people' who lack basic common sense and it's embarrassing. I am top of my class and I can't do simple stuff, like putting necklaces on, tying things, you get the gist. I don't know what it is it's like my head can't wrap around things like that, things only that are theoretical and scientific. Can't tie trash bags, I'm just a loser.

I have an examination in two weeks on basic things, and you know what? I can't do it. My hands shake, I freak out. Everyone else in my class with dexterity can perform a lot faster and better than I can. I'm better with more academics then physical stuff, and I am incredibly embarrassed.

I just feel bad about myself and sad because I feel like I am alone. Someone 'super smart' can't do these simple things because my 'brain is wired a different way'. Sorry just need to vent.

Try to be kind to yourself. Being mad at something about you that is 'wired' differently doesn't help anything. I hope the exam goes better than you expect.

I am 22. I think I have dyspraxia or something. It's entirely embarrassing and I am so sad over this.

I've heard that dyspraxia is more common than is reported. Maybe it isn't diagnosed well, especially in adults.

Does it feel like your brain is working faster than your body?
