I find myslef wanting to ask people this question. From work colleagues to closer friends. Do you?

I hate my appearance, but I think a lot of the other things I hate are more to do with, well, life.
life certainly didn't turn out the way I expected (when I was 9 I hardly thought I was going to be a woman with no qualifications) and I guess I can't blame myself for all my diagnoses (though it is tempting at times) I just hate what I've become, and the little I have to show for it |

To the thread title: No.
To the thread body: Yes, because I want to understand people, but I wouldn't ever ask that quite so directly, not unless I was looking for a fight. |

Yes. Would never ask someone that though, unless I knew them well enough and it felt appropriate to the situation.

No, I don't hate myself.
I struggle to love myself though. I abandon myself regularly, so I'm hardly my biggest fan either. |

Yes, I do and have to work very hard to not to.
I don't believe I was born hating myself. I don't think any of us are. Mine stems from the hatred my parents and siblings exhibited towards me through their long-term horrid and criminal abuses of me. It's a shame that those who were supposed to love, nurture and instill a sense of value in us can do the exact opposite and leave us fighting an uphill battle for the rest of our lives. But, keep fighting it I will ... Otherwise they win! |

I’m working on not hating myself...
I’m working on not hating myself due to the hateful crap and abuse from some who were supposed to be “family” __________________ |

No to both questions. Don’t hate myself and don’t want to ask anyone this question.

I often say that to myself, but I am putting effort into self-care. As for asking other people, I don't feel comfortable asking them that. If I were working, I would never ask colleagues and hesitant even to ask loved ones. I'd be worried about their reaction to the question.

I hate myself sometimes. I hate that I didn't take action sooner. I hate that 12 year old me would be very disappointed in where I am in life right now. Mostly I just hate this rut I'm in and I'm trying so hard to get out of it.
I wouldn't ask that of my work friends. I might ask a friend though. One that might understand mental health issues and just how much life can suck. __________________ "If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice." ~ Joker ~ "You are only as stupid as you let yourself be." ~ Anon ~ |

No, I don't hate myself. I just struggle to accept some parts of myself sometimes.
