Went into work early for overtime with a headache; took some ibuprofen and figured that would be the end of it. Then I learn that The Biggest Loser is coming to my workplace, which was really triggering because I have numerous eating disorders and that is a horrible show. Seriously, that ***** Jillian Michaels needs to be ****ed in her *** until she bleeds out her mouth. Work was a place where i could take refuge from my eating disorders, and not that’s gone too. Anyway, I go down to the pharmacy production floor and find we are understaffed, and of course we are slammed because it’s the day after a holiday. There’s only me and a novice in the department with the most work, AND on top of that, they tell me I have to train someone that day. When we are overloaded with work, have no people, and it’s not even my department. All this, along with the noise and light, created the perfect storm for me to have an episode. I was sobbing and shaking and having chest pains and heart palpitations. I managed to calm myself down, but people kept asking me what was wrong and I felt so humiliated I couldn’t tell them. At least my mind is made up… I’m done with this place.

I’m so sorry that it been very bad day for you. Have you talked to you’re doctor about your anxiety and see if there is something you can take?

I would except that I very rarely get these episodes anymore— like I said, the conditions that were present at work yesterday created the perfect storm for my episode. And frankly, I’d really rather not take any more meds than I absolutely have to.
