why do songs that trigger you last forever?

seriously: a 2/3 minute song that triggers me can go on for like 10/11 minutes

or that's how it feels

Yeah I had to get rid of It Ends Tonight by The All American Rejects because literally every night I listened to it I had an incident. So I finally just had to delete it off my music. I know what you mean.
