Here I took that one riding mower tire to get it fixed only for my brother rant at me and mother that he got patches for that same tire. It seems like the decisions I make seem to blow up in my face. I guess it's meant to be that way.

The good news is, fixing it meant the tire will last longer. He can save the patches for another wheel or time. Don't sweat it.

You actually got it done/fixed, he didn’t. Don’t allow yourself to absorb his negativity.

It wasn’t a bad decision on your part; your brother could have explained he already got patches in a calm way, even if he was angry/frustrated. If you think something needs doing, I think it’s better to just get it done!

So Sorry that happened! i agree with the other wise and wonderful posters! You simply did what you felt was right. Try to not let this affect you that much. You just did your best. Nothing to be ashamed of for trying at least in my opinion. Please be kind to yourself and others. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @modestlychee6463, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

He was upset I didn't tell him and wait for the patch instead of fixing it myself. So that's probably why I felt bad. He didn't like it when I paid to get the tire fixed instead of him putting on that patch himself.

Lol it's a macho/ego issue on his part. If he brings it up again, say, "You're welcome."

Ok, but he has to learn that his upset should not be taken out on you and your mother. Instead he should have made it a point to inform the two of you that he got a patch and is planning on fixing it. You can’t be expected to be a mind reader.
